The properties displayed are what is currently the active object in the VB Editor, not on the worksheet. Properties - I don't know of a button or keyboard shortcut, but you can drag the Properties window out of the VB Editor so it floats above the worksheet. How you use design mode, perhaps I or someone can explain how it works on Mac.
From what I can tell, you can always select controls on the Mac by right-clicking or control-clicking them. The other form controls exist and work just fine on the Mac and they are already on theĭesign Mode - According to Excel help in Windows, it has something to do with turning the ability to select controls on and off. Therefore, these controls don't exist on the Mac and can not be used. No one in the open source community ported Active-X to the Mac. Starting at the left, the insert menu is not available. The user interface is a little bit different in Excel for Mac, but you should be able to get most of the features you want.
